Action Canada for Population and Development (ACPD) is very proud to be a partner with the International Programme on Reproductive and Sexual Health Law at the University of Toronto in publishing the: 3rd edition of The Application of Human Rights To Reproductive & Sexual Health: A Compilation of the Work of International Human Rights Treaty Bodies.

This useful tool is a compilation of selections relating to reproductive health and rights and sexual health and rights from the Concluding Observations and General Comments or Recommendations developed by six of the UN human rights treaty bodies. It is designed to assist government departments and agencies as well as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in monitoring compliance with (and violations of) these rights. It is also designed to assist in the development of advocacy manuals, training programmes, and research.

Materials included in the 3rd edition of the compilation are updated excerpts from the full documents of: the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR); the Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD); the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW); the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC); the Committee Against Torture (CAT), and the Human Rights Committee (HRC).
