Mission Statement:
ACPD is an non-profit advocacy organization that seeks to enhance the quality of life of women, men and young people by promoting progressive policies in the field of human rights and international development with a primary focus on reproductive and sexual rights and health
Strategic Objectives:
- To advocate for the full implementation of the policy and financial commitments made in Cairo at the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD)
- To incorporate sexual rights and reproductive rights into the policy frameworks and program agendas of national governments, intergovernmental bodies, international expert mechanisms and the United Nations system.
Since ACPD’s establishment in 1997, we have successfully worked in partnership with parliamentarians, governments, activists, UN agencies and non-governmental organizations from all over the world to fulfill our objectives.
