On Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 ACPD launched UNFPA’s State of World Population report; Facing a changing world: women, population and climate with a press conference held on Parliament Hill featuring Mme. Raymonde Folco, Chair of the Canadian Association of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (CAPPD), Neil Ford, Chief, Media and Communications Branch, UNFPA, and Katherine McDonald, Executive Director, ACPD. Around 60 people, representing various NGOs, government departments, and Parliamentarians attended a jointly hosted evening reception by ACPD and CAPPD in Parliament with presentations from Mme. Raymonde Folco, MP, Neil Ford, and Katherine McDonald.
